Agnes Stevens
(agnes@schoolonwheels.org) is the Founder and Executive Director of School on Wheels. She was a teacher for thirty years in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Pico Rivera, California before founding School on Wheels. Agnes has received numerous honors and awards (Click here to view the Awards page) including The Gleitsman Foundation Citizen Activist Award, KCET’s Cool Women Award, Oprah's Angel Network Award, and the Athletes & Entertainers for Kids Hero's Award.
Paula Buxbaum
(pbuxbaum@schoolonwheels.org), Regional Coordinator, is responsible for supporting region 4 tutors, coordinators and volunteers, as well as the expansion of School on Wheels’ program in her region.
Sinead Chilton
(schilton@schoolonwheels.org), Communications Coordinator, oversees and takes care of our marketing programs, individual giving plans and is responsible for all media relations.
Sandie Haverick
(shaverick@schoolonwheels.org), Administrative Assistant, provides administrative support to the Executive Director and makes sure the bills are paid on time.
Yannoula (Joanne) Kusulas
(ykusulas@schoolonwheels.org) is Operations Coordinator responsible for processing all volunteer applications, coordinating material donations and keeping everything in order.
Elodia Lopez de Velarde
(elopez@schoolonwheels.org), Downtown Learning Center Aide, assists with after-school and summer programs and keeps the center in good working condition.
Esteban Martinez
(emartinez@schoolonwheels.org) Regional Coordinator, is responsible for supporting region 1 tutors, coordinators and volunteers, as well as the expansion of School on Wheels’ program in his region.
Catherine Meek
(cmeek@schoolonwheels.org) is the Chief Operating Officer and President of the Board responsible for doing whatever is necessary to manage the operating activities of School on Wheels.
Rosemary Oliva
(roliva@schoolonwheels.org) Downtown Learning Center Coordinator works with students and parents in our learning center in skid row to facilitate school enrollment and oversees the after-school and summer programs.
Matt Raab
(mraab@schoolonwheels.org), Team Leader, supports and manages all Regional Coordinators and DLC staff, makes sure School on Wheels’ programs are effective and works with community, business and civic organizations to support homeless children.
Janet Settles
(jsettles@schoolonwheels.org), Senior Regional Coordinator for region 3 manages regions 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D and 3E through Tutor Coordinators in each of these regions.
Linda Huddle
(lhuddle@schoolonwheels.org) Regional Coordinator, is responsible for supporting region 3D and E tutors, coordinators and volunteers, as well as the expansion of School on Wheels’ program in her region.
Natasha Bayus (nbayus@schoolonwheels.org), Tutor Coordinator for Region C matches and supports volunteer tutors in her region.
