Summer Program
Read a Book, Make a Memory, Make a Book Make this summer one that your student will never forget. Participate in School on Wheels’ Read a Book, Make a Memory, Make a Book summer experience! It’s a fun, creative, and easy way to keep your student reading and writing over the summer. Here’s how it works:
Choose a book to read that you and your student will both enjoy! If possible, try and choose a book that could be a springboard to a fun field trip. For book ideas, check out School on Wheels staff recommendations below.
Take your student on an educational adventure! Choose a field trip to take with your student that you will both enjoy and learn from. If possible, make connections between the field trip and the book that you just finished.
Now, take the experience that you had on your field trip and create a book to share with the world! This book may be a factual account of your field trip or a fictional story sparked by your adventure.
Your student needs you over the summer! The more you can work with your student in these crucial months, the better off they’ll be when school starts again in the fall. Thank you for helping your student continue to learn over the summer! |
