Planned Legacy Giving
For over 30 years, School on Wheels has been helping children experiencing homelessness with their education. You can be part of the future for these vulnerable young people. Making a bequest to School on Wheels is a simple way to ensure that we can continue this vital work on behalf of the next generation.
You can name School on Wheels as a beneficiary of your will, trust, retirement plan, life insurance policy or financial account, or fund a charitable gift annuity or trust that may provide you with tax benefits and income.
Ways To Give
You can name School on Wheels in your long-range plans including:
- Your will or trust
- IRA or retirement plan beneficiary
- Life insurance beneficiary
- Financial account
- Charitable IRA Distribution: If you are age 70 ½ or older, you may be eligible to transfer up to $100,000 in gifts directly from your IRA to School on Wheels and exclude the amount of your gift from taxable income. If you have questions or would like to discuss the benefits of IRA charitable distributions please contact your tax advisor.
You may include a bequest to support School on Wheels when preparing your will or living trust, or by adding a codicil to your present will or living trust. Bequests may be of cash, securities, bonds, real estate, copyrights, royalties, or other property. Bequests of all sizes are welcome, whether they are outright, contingent, or residual. We recommend that you consult with a qualified estate planning attorney when drafting your will or living trust.
Our Tax ID is # 95-4422640. Before finalizing your charitable plans we encourage you to seek the counsel of your legal or financial advisor.
