Social and emotional learning helps students feel calm, focused, and engaged. Your student may feel improvements in mood and attention during tutoring sessions and school, and with family and friends. Happily, there is always time for social and emotional learning during your tutoring sessions!
Welcome to the Gratitude Activity Series! Feeling gratitude helps boost positive emotions and provides tools we need to face adversity. It also improves physical health and personal relationships.
Over 3 tutoring sessions, you and your student will complete six 5-minute activities exploring gratitude. After each check-in activity, please continue with your regular tutoring materials. Before the end of your session, set aside five minutes for the check-out activity for that day.
To navigate the program follow these steps:
Step 1: During your next tutoring session, fill out the enrollment form below. Please provide your student’s responses to the 3 opinion questions in this form.
Step 2: Check your email for a message including a link to your 6 activities (3 check-ins and 3 check-outs).
Step 3: Complete the activities over your next three tutoring sessions.
Step 4: After completing the 6 activities, help your student fill out the completion form and choose a prize that will be sent directly to them!
