Reach out to people you know. Networking is a great way to find work. Let your family and friends know that you’re looking for a job and what interests you.

Join career-oriented social networks. Employment-related social networks, such as LinkedIn, allow you to make more connections and increase your chances of finding a contact that can set you up with a job opportunity.

Check job posting websites. The internet is a huge employment resource. Visit both local and national sites to see all that’s available. The California CareerZone uses Job Central to provide job opening information.

Research companies online. Some companies post job openings on their company website instead of on job posting sites. Choose companies you would like to work for and visit the job openings page of their websites.

Attend job fairs. Fairs are a great way to meet many different companies and learn about job opportunities all in the same place. Put your name out there.
