What is your favorite part of meeting with your tutor?
My favorite part of meeting with my tutor each week is being able to study for my tests.
What hopes and dreams do you have for the future?
My dream is to become a Registered Nurse.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
I am nice, funny, and a positive thinker.
Who inspires you and why?
My aunt inspires me.
What advice would you give to students who may be struggling with school?
Don’t give up. Be strong. You can do anything as long as you try.
Nylah – Grade 5
What is your favorite part of meeting with your tutor?
Doing the math because math is my favorite subject, because it’s so easy.
What hopes and dreams do you have for the future?
[I hope to be] a billionaire, so I can help other homeless people. [I am going] to buy that red cherry car for my teacher, Ms. Ochoa!
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Genius, brave, sincere
Who inspires you and why?
The first person that inspires me is my parents because they taught me how to be kind, sweet, and respectful to others. The other is all my teachers because they have taught me all my math, my reading, and all my subjects.
What advice would you give to students who may be struggling with school?
I would tell them to try their best and never give up, because if you mess up, mistakes can always be a good back up when you’re older. Because in our class, I made a bunch of mistakes when I typed but I saw them and I outlined it and fixed them, and my work was the most unique. Mistakes are good.
What is your favorite subject and why?
My favorite subject is math, and I love it because if you know how to multiply, divide, subtract, and add, then no one will be able to steal your money. Because if you can, then you’ll know, because then you can say, “oh, it’s not the same!”

Making words with magnet letters.
What hopes and dreams do you have for the future?
To be a hair dresser

Cute, smart, good with drawing.
Who inspires you and why?
Daddy, because he works at Amazon.
What is your favorite subject and why?
Science, because you can make cool experiments.
