Honesty – Grade 11
What is your favorite part of meeting with your tutor?
He helps me slow down and solve the problems. Now he’ll help me with my work, and not just what we’re doing on the side. I like that he helps me with little steps on the side to help me figure it out.
What hopes and dreams do you have for the future?
Trying to get my diploma and go to college and get a career for myself
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Outgoing, outspoken, fast learner
What advice would you give to students who may be struggling with school?
Just keep going. Don’t give up and you’ll get it. Hard work pays off.
Who inspires you and why?
Nobody, she inspires herself.
Naydeli – Grade 7
What is your favorite part of meeting with your tutor?
My favorite part of meeting with my tutor each week is the tutor herself. She is really funny and fun. I also relate a lot to her.
What hopes and dreams do you have for the future?
Hopes and dreams I have for the future are to be an architect and be rich. I want to live in a grassy area and have horses.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Tired, Creative, and sarcastic
Who inspires you and why?
My mom because she is a hard worker and very determined
What advice would you give to students who may be struggling with school?
Some advice I would give to students who may be struggling in school is to break it into small steps. Sometimes it can feel overwhelming, so don’t be afraid to take small breaks!
Saoirse – Grade 3
What is your favorite part of meeting with your tutor?
I love to read with my tutor Misses Hetty. She makes reading fun. I loved reading The Serious Goose or Duck.
What hopes and dreams do you have for the future?
I want to be a teacher. I like my teacher. I want to help teach others to learn.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
I am nice, helpful, and caring.
Who inspires you and why?
Jesus and ballerinas. I love to dance on my tippy toes. I love to praise dance with flags and dance for God’s glory.
What is your favorite subject?
Math! I love to learn about math. If I didn’t know how to I wouldn’t like it.
